Search on top (Gmail / Apple Mail): the field anchors the header full-width, the segmented control sits just under it. My recommendation — search is the universal entry point and gets out of the segmented control's way.

Segments on top (Superhuman splits): the filter leads, search is the secondary find below. Tighter, but the expanded search feels more bolted-on.

Filter & sort is now one icon living inside the search field (right edge), not a labeled button — that was the awkward part.

Interested tag dropped (every row here is already positive). Qualified kept as the SQL signal. Specific categories like Information request stay.

Follow-up nudge (amber, Devin) floats up the stream like a Gmail nudge, but fresh unanswered replies stay above it.
